How to edit .htaccess file from WordPress Admin Panel – WP Htaccess Editor

If you are a blogger or running WordPress website and you don’t have permission to login into your hosting panel via file manager or FTP, Then I found wonderful WordPress plugin called WP Htaccess Editor, This plugin will help you to edit .htaccess file within WordPress Admin panel without using FTP client.



How to install WP Htaccess Editor plugin

Step-1: Download Htaccess Editor plugin from wordpress.org
Step-2: Extract the zip into the wp-content/plugins directory.
Step-3: Activate the plugin through the Admin panel of your WordPress
Step-4: Go to Menu -> Htaccess


Installing WP Htaccess Editor plugin Using WordPress Admin

Step-1: Login to your WordPress admin dashboard then Click on the Plugins => Add New option
Step-2: Search “WP Htaccess Editor” in search text box and click on the Install Now button.
Step-3: It will take 1 or 2 minutes to install on your site. After the installation clicks on the Activate now button to enable this plugin features on your site.
Step-4: Go to Menu -> Htaccess
On this page, you will see the content of your .htaccess file is there. Make your changes in the htaccess file and click on the save file.
